AP - VRO, VRA Recruitment Notification, Applications, Interview Schedule Dates 2011

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced notification details for the recruitment of VROs and VRAs in Andhra Pradesh. The Cabinet Sub-Committee headed by N.Raghuveera Reddy has announced the notification dates and schedules Selection will be based on the interviews to conducted by District Selection Committees (DSCs) headed by the respective District Collector. There is no entrance test or written test for VRO and VRA vacancies. Reservations will be followed as per the rules. Weightage of 85 marks will be allotted for marks in the qualifying exam, reservation, local status and other standards. Remaining 15 marks will be for performance in interviews. Following are the important dates, interview dates, model questions and schedule for the recruitment:

1) VRO(VILLAGE REVENUE OFFICERS) 1175 posts; Pay Scale : Rs. 7740 - 23040. Eligibility is pass in Intermediate in any group. Those selected for VRO posts can reside in any area of the concerned district. Selection will be through Interviews which contains questions on general knowledge.

2)VRA(VILLAGE REVENUE ASSITANT) : 6063 posts; Eligibility: Applicants should have passed in 10th Class / SSC. Local candidates only can apply for the concerned villages. Selection will be through performance in interviews to be conducted by DSC chaired by respective District Collectors. Following are district wise distribution of vacancies of VRA posts (approximate):

Sakala Janula Samme: TEJAC Leaders Under Fire

The reasons behind TEJAC withdrawing Sakala Janula Samme have come to fore finally. Though the TEJAC leaders were vehement in saying that they are calling off the 42 day long strike keeping in view the hardships it is causing to the general public, but the real reasons seem to be entirely different.

The Joint Struggle Committee of the unions of Telangana officers, employees, teachers and workers has come down heavily on TEJAC leaders terming them betrayers of Telangana for withdrawing the stir of government employees for ‘selfish reasons’. The committee criticised TEJAC leaders for raising non-issues unrelated to Telangana rather than focusing on the central demand of introducing a Bill in Parliament to form a separate state.

TEJAC leaders had mortgaged the interests of the people of the region as they did at the time of the non-cooperation stir in January last, said the committee, which exhorted people to stone the 'betrayers'. A statement issued by leaders of the committee, including Mr K. Gopal Reddy, Mr E. Venkatesam, Mr T. Prabhakar, Mr G. Venkateswarlu, Mr B. Ramsetty, Mr B. Nagesh and Mr B. Raghu, pointed out that the TEJAC leaders also deliberately ignored the demand for separate Telangana in the talks they held with the government on Monday.

The committee also asked the government not to withdraw inquiry against the TEJAC chairman, Mr K. Swamy Goud, over the alleged irregularities in allotting house sites through TNGOs Housing Society and for also possessing three house sites in his name in three housing societies. Further, the panel asked the state to suspend Mr Goud from the post of the president of the TNGOs Housing Society.

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Employees, Teachers and Workers, which spearheaded the non-cooperation agitation by Telangana employees recently, suffered a setback on Thursday when a rival group formed a new organisation to represent the estimated 4 lakh employees of Telangana region of the 12 lakh-odd government staff in the State. The leaders of the new outfit going by the name of the Joint Struggle Committee (JSC) of the Unions of Telangana officers, Employees, Teachers and Workers, met Chief Secretary S.V. Prasad led by its chairman, K. Gopal Reddy, requesting that they too should be consulted on service matters.

E. Venkatesham, working president, and T. Prabhakar, secretary-general, said they were forced to form the new organisation to represent the Telangana staff as leaders of the JAC had allowed themselves to be “purchased” by the government and had called off the non-cooperation agitation. They said that there was widespread resentment among the Telangana staff over the calling off of the non-cooperation agitation.

During the meeting with the Chief Secretary, they requested the re-issue of GO No 146 so that representatives of all Telangana service organisations, including theirs, could be represented in the empowered committee formed by the government to oversee the implementation of GO No 610.

HYDERABAD: A new outfit to represent officers and employees of Telangana floated on Saturday straightaway decided to expel four important leaders of Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) of officers, employees, teachers and workers which spearheaded the recent non-cooperation movement demanding Statehood to the region.

The leaders of JAC, K. Swamy Goud, V. Srinivas Goud, B. Deviprasad Rao and C. Vittal, were expelled on the ground that they hijacked the non-cooperation movement to serve their selfish ends. They made a shady agreement with government to end the stir, it was stated at the maiden meeting of the Telangana officers, employees, teachers and workers here on Saturday.

The presidium of the meeting comprising G. Srinivasulu, K. Gopal Reddy, T. Prabhakar and L. Tajmohan Reddy, told media persons later that the new body will function with the sole aim of achieving Statehood. All decisions would be taken on the basis of majority opinion of members. A general body meeting would be held shortly to discuss the future course of action.
